How to distinguish the stainless steel hot rolled plate and stainless steel cold roll
Sep 22, 2017

Stainless steel includes cold rolled sheet and hot rolled plate, although the two are only a one-word difference, but the performance and the characteristics are a thousand miles away. So today we are going to teach you how to distinguish between stainless steel hot rolled and cold rolled.
First of all, what is stainless steel hot rolled plate and cold rolled plate?
Stainless steel plate surface smooth, with high plasticity, toughness and mechanical strength, acid, alkaline gas, solution and other media corrosion. It is a kind of alloy steel that is not easy to rust, but it is not absolutely rusting. The corrosion resistance of the stainless steel cold rolled plate mainly depends on its alloy composition (chromium, nickel, titanium, silicon, aluminum, etc.) and internal organization structure, the main function is chromium element. Chromium has high chemical stability, which can form a passivation film on the steel surface, so as to isolate the metal from the outside, protect the steel plate from oxidation, and increase the corrosion resistance of the steel plate. After the destruction of the passivation film, the corrosion resistance decreases. So what you know is hot rolled and cold rolled, and I'll show you how to distinguish them.
The main difference between hot rolling and cold rolling is the partial buckling of the cold rolled steel section, which can make full use of the bearing capacity of the buckling of the rod. There is no partial buckling of hot rolled steel section. The reasons for the residual stress of hot rolled steel and cold rolled steel section are different, so the distribution of the cross section is very different. The residual stress distribution in the section of the thin-walled steel section is curved, and the residual stress distribution in the section of hot - zoned steel or welded steel section is the film type. The free torsional stiffness of hot rolled steel is higher than that of cold rolled steel, so the torsion performance of hot rolled steel is better than cold rolled steel.
